With the assembly out you can inspect the reaction plate and determine if this is the problem. Turned out the Honda stuff had special crap in it. This will get it bolted into the frame. Once you have the hub assembly off you can drive out the wheel studs and remove… You will have to remove the rear end plate off of the back of the rear end. Pulled shifter top off and tried moving it around. Do you guys know the if there was the wrong gear oil put in it would it cause this problem? I want to swap a 2000+ v8 with a manual trans. We gotten used to going from 1st to 3rd with nary a problem, I just accelerate a little higher in 1st and lug her a little in 3rd but honestly it not that bad at all as the 5. Hard shifting, noise, wear, and internal binding are usually caused by lubricant issues — dirty gear oil, low levels, or the wrong lubricant. If not, that clutch wont last a year. When it's warmed up it shifts fine. The transmission and the transfer case are two different things, so your transmission isn't what makes it 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive, the transfer… the brake caliper has to come off the rotor comes off then. It moved front to back easily but side to side is very stiff, like it is spring loaded.
